ABOUT PHOENIX CHILDREN'S

Since 1983, the mission of Phoenix Children’s has been to provide hope, healing and the best possible health care to children. Phoenix Children's is the only freestanding pediatric hospital in Arizona, and is the sixth largest children’s hospital in the nation. Phoenix Children’s offers comprehensive health care and support services to more than 135,000 children and their families each year within 75 pediatric subspecialties. The Emergency Department serves an astonishing 80,000 children annually. The recently expanded Emergency Department and Level 1 Trauma Center serves as the only Level 1 pediatric trauma center in Arizona. For the seventh consecutive year, the Hospital was nationally recognized by U.S. News & World Report for its premier treatment and facilities. Today, Phoenix Children’s is recognized as the indispensable regional provider of high acuity care for children with medically complex conditions. Phoenix Children's six Centers of Excellence are among the Hospital's largest clinical programs, and represent the very finest in pediatric health care in Arizona, includes: Barrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children's Hospital, Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, Children's Heart Center, Center for Pediatric Orthopedics, Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Level One Pediatric Trauma Center.

· In 2015 PCH saw 161,000 in patients, 287,000 out patients, had 83,000 Emergency Department visits and performed 16,000 surgeries.

· PCH is the busiest Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center in the nation, with more than 2,500 patients treated in 2016

· PCH relies on philanthropic donations with over 60 programs and services funded solely or significantly through donations.

· PCH has a medical staff of nearly 1,000 pediatric specialties treating for inpatient, outpatient, trauma and emergency care across more than 70 pediatric subspecialties, by far the most comprehensive pediatric care available in the state.

ABOUT THE PCH 50

The PCH50’s mission is to harness the energy, enthusiasm and experience of 50 driven community leaders as the next generation supporters of Phoenix Children’s Hospital through financial fundraising, volunteer efforts, and awareness building. Established in 2016, the PCH50 is actively developing opportunities within the community to execute its mission of advancing these three pillars of fundraising, volunteering and awareness building.
